She taught Malayalam at Government College, Thrissur. Her poems stood out as contemplative, criticizing and laughing gently at the world for its pettiness, while at the same time radiating a genuine warmth.
Her major collections of short stories are Otta Snappil Othukkanavilla, Oru Janma Sathyam, Asamkhatita and Iniyum Veedatha Hridayathinte Kadam. She received awards for her poetry and also the T.P. Kishore Smaraka Award for the best short story. She was struck by cancer at an early age, and passed away in January 2002.
