Currently working as a hospital administrator, Jaywant has been writing for nearly three decades. She writes two columns: one for the Gomantak and the other for Complete Wellbeing.

Her books include Quilted, Stories of Middle class India, Melting Moments, a collection of middles, Mumbai, a survival guide for ex-pats, an ebook, Ward No.5, KEM, a Marathi-English translation of a surgeon's biography, and most recently, The Liftman and Other Stories (Hindon, Mumbai, 2008).
