She has done her doctoral studies at the University of Oxford on Renaissance drama and the history of madness. She is interested in women’s writing and in issues of women and mental health. She is a regular contributor in The Book Review and in Desh (a Bengali fortnightly journal). She has also published scholarly articles on Shakespearean drama and pedagogy, women and madness.
