She is an avid reader and traveller, and regularly contributes travel journals to www.roughguides.com under the pseudonym phileasfogg. In addition, Madhulika writes short stories — in a wide range of genres, from humour and romance to supernatural and crime. She has won awards for her stories and thrillers - her stories have been published in several magazines, and online by www.sulekha.com. ‘Murk of Art’ is her first published murder mystery — and as far as we know, the first short story featuring a Mughal detective.
