India - South Asia Genres Fiction, Short Stories, Editor Languages Kannada H. Nagaveni (1962) is from Honnakatte in coastal Karnataka and has two publications to her credit. Naakane Neeru (The Bath on the Fourth Day), an anthology of short stories published in 1997 and Gandhi Banda (Gandhi Arrives), a novel (1999). Both the books are Sahitya Academy Award winners. Nagaveni was formerly an assistant editor of the Indian National Bibliography at the National Library, Kolkata and now works as an Assistant Librarian at Kannada University, Hampi.
