As the url suggests, it is a portal on, about and for womens writing worldwide. It is intended to be a repository of information about this community.
Who qualifies to be profiled on the website?
Any woman who deals with "words" is eligible for being profiled. It is not necessarily reserved for fiction writers alone. We are profiling writers (fiction and non-fiction), poets, lyricists, dramatists/script writers, academics, illustrators, translators, editors, publishers, literary journalists,reviewers, critics etc.
If I fit the bill, how may I be profiled on the website?
Please send us an email based on the author profile template which is on the website and we will certainly respond. Every profile received is read by the review committee.
Is it only restricted to the English language authors?
No. Any language author may be profiled, but the profile has to be written in English.
How do I announce local events on the website?
Please send us an email ( email@example.com ). We will upload the information in Editor's Blog and Breathing Space.
What kind of events may be announced?
All kinds of literary engagements - major, minor, sophisticated, informal etc gatherings may be announced. These may include, author signing sessions at the local bookshop, readings, book launches, creative writing workshops, competitions, school and college debates, seminars and conferences, award announcements etc.
Do you accept manuscripts for submission?
No. This is a portal on women's writing. But, if you wish to submit a manuscript for Zubaan's consideration. Please visit manuscript submission.
